2001 triumph speed triple 955i engine rattle from the left side?
the motor makes a timing chain rattle while at cruising speed,acceleration,and decel.you can make it rattle with a free rev.also.we have the motor out,and have inspected the timing chain,guides,gears and the chain tensioner.for as loud as this sounds,you would think it would be obvious.I find no problem with the chain asm.this is not a rod,or main bearing sound,or piston pin.any help for common issues,or where to inspect would be a great help.
this sound is from the right side of the motor,not the left.
I know you do not want to hear this, but just take it to your nearest shop and let the professionals look at it.
