That depends. If the server is directly connected to the server, then it can be shared, and available on the network. When adding the printer, if within a Windows Active Directory domain, it will show in the Add Printers Dialog box, with the "[ServerName][PrinterName]".
If the printer has an network card and is on the LAN with a valid IP address, then the domain controller can be used or another server as the acting print server for the domain. You would need to use the Printer Server Management MMC console to administer the printer and the drivers needed for it. That server would then route all printing requests to the appropriate server.
It would also show up as using "[ServerName][PrinterName]", if when adding the printer, you select "Publish to the Active Directory". The users on the network when adding a printer would see it as a listed device on the network.
