I broke my Laptop Screen!! Please HELP!?!?!?!?
Ok, my dalmatian spaniel jumped on my laptop today, and broke some keys off ( I fixed that). The screen was fine until I picked it up. It just like shattered from the inside. I bought a 2 Port KVM Switch at Radio Shack today. Except my laptop wont let the VGA cable plug in, because it doesn't have those 2 screw holes you know? So is there a way I can still use my laptop without spending money my parents don't have or don't want to spend. [ I'm on my own for this 
] The KVM switch works for my desktop monitor but not the Laptop. So every time I turn on my Laptop the sceen has white cracks on the inside! Please help!?!?
You don't need to screw the VGA plug into your laptop's VGA output. Leave the plug in unscrewed - it should still work.
You may need to press a certain key combination, usually involving the laptop's "Fn" key and a function key (F1, F2, F3, etc.), to tell the computer to send the display signal to the VGA output. They keys on the keyboard should have icons on them as to which keys you need to press. Check your computer's user manual for more information.
