I want to buy a Linksys router to split my internet and xbox, do I need to load cd software for the router?
My cd drive is jacked and doesn't read cd's, will the router be recognized by my computer or will I have to upload software?
software should not be needed. plug and play. internet should come from your modem, to router, then from there to your computer and xbox and whatever else. if anything, you might have to reset the modem after you plug in router, and then reset computer, to get it all working
