Jeantech 500 Watt ATX and Dell Inspiron 530 with G33M02 Motherboard?
I am wanting to upgrade my power supply on my desktop in-order to supply the necessary power to my graphics card. I was wondering whether a Jeantech 500 watt ATX will work with my Dell Inspiron 530 as it has a G33M02 motherboard, which I hear might have problems as it has '6 voltage regulator ICs' what ever that means. The graphics card is a PNY Nvidia 9600 GT OC 512MB DDR3.
Thank you and any help is appreciated.
Here is the power supply I am looking at; http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0537241363.1262743215@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccccadejfgehlffcflgceggdhhmdgmk.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=621585&category_oid=
That's a decently modern power supply, with a PCI-E 6-pin power connector and 4 SATA power outlets which will nicely match the 4 SATA data ports on the motherboard.
That combination will work well.
(The "6 volatage regularor ICs" is more advertising than important)
