what happens when i answer the phone during an incoming fax ?
just set up a fax machine and phone rang and it was a incoming fax. only thing that came out was a line saying where the fax came from. did i mess up the incoming fax when i picked up ? I hung back up when i realized it was a fax ?
It would only interrupt the connection but the fax machine from the person sending it to you would "retry" until it cannot make a connection. I would ask them to resend the fax and keep a note near your phone or try to remember that you may need to wait a few rings before you pick up the phone cuz your fax machine may pick it up.
