Need help setting up a BayStack 350T-HD 24 port switch?

I have a Bay Networks Bay Stack 350T-HD switch. When it is connected to a router, it functions properly, but when it is connected to another switch, it kills the internet connection. I ordered a null modem to connect to it, but it doesn't ever get to the login prompt (i've tried pressing control c, control y, and enter to get there, but nothing works).

When booted The unit powers up, and the self-test finishes successfully.

Is there a way to reset the switch to factory defaults so i can configure it properly?
The self test is displayed on a diagnostic led on the display, if it is on, the test has passed. Also, i am certain the console needs a null modem cable because it is mentioned in the manual.

You say you ordered a null modem console cable in order to console into it but never gets to the log in prompt. This makes me think you need to use a Straight Thru console cable as opposed to a null modem cable. But then you state that the self-test finishes successfully, which you would have to be able to see in order to know it tests good.
Now on a factory default configured switch, after the power on self test, it should immediately go to the menu screen. There is no "back door" method to reset to factory default if there is a password on it.
I really dont think its the console cable because you can see the POST so what I would suggest is changing the Baud Rate on your Hyperterminal to match the 350. The 350 only has these Baud Rates: 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400.
