why do i hear a radio station in the backround on my landline (NOT WIRELESS) telephone?
i have a traditional WIRED telephone - service is provided by my cable company COX through digital telephony. SOMETIMES, not always, I hear a radio or TV station faint in the background, but the person I am talking to only hears my voice. Any idea what might cause this?
This is NOT a wireless telephone or a cellphone. It is plugged into a modular wall jack.
Cox cable has a leak somewhere. either a bad ground or a connector not screwed down tight enough.
call Cox and tell them that you hear background interferance. They will be out to fix it because if signal can get in, signals can get out and the FCC does not like a leaking cable company. could lead to big fines.
