Custom PC. not turning on?

I just built it.
Micro atx faconn motherboard.
2gb ram
kvm switch (1 monitor 2 PCs)
g-force 8600 pci express 16x
some generic mid tower.
amd 2.3 ghz dual core
480w psu.

When i hit the power button i hear nothing going on, fan don't start or anything.

it is plugged in, wired correct, no parts are broken/shorted (mobo is fine) psu is on.
I did not use motherboard standoffs.
The wiring is correct. what do those mobo standoffs do?
PSU WAS ON, and we tried 2 psus and a 3rd one (1200w alienware psu )
my case has standoffs (long humps sticking out for it to rest on)
if i had used standoffs (case already has them) then the back panel would not match up with the sockets, so i take it i already have them.

After you checked all your wiring...and it still doesn't work...try another PSU and see if it works...

If it runs...then you have a DOA-PSU

And you checked the power switch on the PSU right...? (HEY IT HAPPENS!)

Stand offs help to properly grounded and prevents shortages...they are not always needed because some cases have them built right into them, but if it doesn't then you should use them. It could be the cause of your problem...but I think it's some kind of other hardware issue...really hard if I don't have the computer in front of me.
