My digital camera fell in the creek for 1 second, is there any hope?
I was at the creek with my friend and I had my camera in my pocket. We were throwing a lax ball to each other and the ball fell in. When I leaned over to pick it up, my camera fell out of my pocket and into the fresh water creek. It was only in for a second or two. I quickly took the battery and sd card out without trying to turn it on. I was at my friends house and she did not have any rice that I could put it in. I left a few hours later I got home and put everything in a bowl of rice. I have not tried to take I out yet because I'm afraid it will short circuit.it has been in the rice for about 12 hours and it's been about 16 hours since it was submerged. Any tips on how long I should leave it in and if it doesn't work, what should I do??

The only way to tell for sure is to have a repair shop look at it ... BEFORE applying any power to it.
I am sure that you have already copied all the image files from you memory card using a card reader, right?
