What mic/mixer/amp should I buy?
I sing and I am wanting to start a band soon. Basically I want to buy a good microphone and amp ready for gigging but I havent the slightest clue which is best... or even how to set up a mic and amp! lol do you need a mixer as well as an amp??
I heard the shure sm58 mic was a good one so im pretty sure il buy that, but what do I need to buy to go with it?? Do I have to buy a mixer?? Or an amp?? Or both?? And how does it work... im rather hopeless at the moment lol i need music technology education haha please help

Yes, the SM58 is a good one, as are many others.
Audio-Technica also offers some good mics at reasonable prices.
In the matter of what to buy and setting it up: Why not get some local help?
I see you are in the U.K.; the country is small enough that there must be
someone available to help you not too far from wherever you are.
A good professional sound equipment dealer will probably be happy
