speaker sound problem?
The sound from the right channel speaker on my yamaha dsp home cinema amp is very low almost zero every other channel is ok anyone know what could cause the problem.
You need to follow a process of elimination.
That said, what immediately comes to mind (other than actual problems with the amp) is an erroneous setting in the speaker setup. Check that the DSP settings are not attenuating the right front output. If so you might be able to manually overide the auto settings.
You might also see if the wire to the speaker is properly connected.
You could verify the speaker is OK by switching the right and left front speakers. If you do that and verify the speaker wire is OK, you at least know it is the receiver or the source.
Is the low sound independent of input source (e.g. FM vs DVD)? If not, it could be a input component or wiring issue.
Is it effected by surround vs stereo settings? If so it could be DSP related, or even a switch.
