2 xboxes one router, one disconnects when they start up Black Ops?
My father and I have two xboxes and one router both connected with a wired connection. We can both log in on live at the same time with no difficulties, but when we try to get into Black Ops one of us disconnects.
Additional info:
We both have Open NAT
We have two routers, one hooked into the modem, and one in my room that we are hooked into.
The one hooked to the modem is a Dlink and the one hooked into the Xboxes is a Belkin N1 Router.
Please make it step by step. Also, we turned uPnP on and off over and over, to no avail. Another thing is both Xboxes are on an automatic (dynamic) IP address, but we have tried changing it to tatic and making the IP addresses no where near each other, but again, to no avail.
We have also tried one being wireless and the other being a wired connection. Still didn't work.
Please clarify the following:
Did this just start or has this been an issue from the beginning?
Who gets kicked off first?
Is it always the same unit that gets kicked off first regardless of who signed in first?
The xboxes are connected to the belkin that is connected to the dlink that is connected to the modem. Correct?
What static IP addresses where you using?
Is your Internet connection cable or DSL?
Why are you using two routers?
Have you modified any configuration settings on the two routers?
I am a computer network and systems administration graduate.
My first thought is that the routers are not configured correctly, hence all the router questions.
