What is the optimal clocking in a back to back digital modems connection.?
DTE-(MODEM A-MODEM B)+(MODEM C-MODEM D)-DTE
I need to know what will be the optimal clocking(internal, external, recieved) for each modem in such a connection.
modem a and modem b are connected with a crossed cable to modem c and modem d.
As there is no real clock source on the network you should choose 1 modem (perhaps B or C) as internal, and the rest as received.
This should keep the modems synchronised.
Can't imagine a reallife scenario with the parameters above, so a very tricky situation.
