My new TE410P card has 4 RJ11 connectors wired for 2-wire working. Most UK kit uses 3 wires (there's a 2μF capacitor in the master socket to provide the AC ringing signal).

Can I just use ADSL microfilters (which regenerate the AC ring with their own capacitor downstream of the low-pass network) out of each FXS port, with the phones plugged into the RJ431 "phone" socket; and an old modem cable (outside 2 pins on RJ431 to middle 2 pins on RJ11) to plug the FXO port into the exchange line? Or would I be better off just biting the bullet, investing in the proper crimpers and plugs and making up my own custom cables? (I've made up plenty of RJ45 internet cables, including crossovers and economisers, so am used to wiring things out-of-order and leaving some pins unconnected. My RJ45 crimpers won't take the smaller connectors, though.)
