Does streaming content count as using AOL download allowance?
Hi im currently on a UNLIMITED download allowance broadband service so i am able to use the internet as much as i like.
We are considering switching to AOL, but they have a 10GB download allowance. Meaning no more than 10GB worth of downloads is allowed.
Thing is i stream alot of online content such as movies, tv shows. and i was wondering if streaming content would use up download allowance.
If so would 10GB of download allowance be enough??
Plz answer asap.

the simple answer is YES! streaming IS downloading - you just 'use' the info as you download it. as to whether 10gig is enough, that all depends on you...i smashed my 'fair usage' policy on an unlimited packeage and now have a contract which means i really CAN d'load as much as i want...at a price(i tend to have limewire running almost 24 hours a day and also stream and generally use my pc as an entertainment grand central station!)
as an aside - do a lil research about AOL - they have some V unfriendly policies towards their users including having been recently sued for downlooading spy-ware to all their users! don't take my word for it though - google it!
