What kind of cable do I need to go from cisco 2600 to my ethernet port?
The ethernet ports on my 2600 work fine when I connect a linksys or my voip-router, but when I plug in my NIC directly to any of the ethernet or fastethernet ports on the 2600 I don't even get link light. I tried manually setting duplex. I only have straight-through cables, do I need a cross-over cable or WHAT?????? THANKS

Yes, to go straight from a router to a computer, you need a crossover cable. If you have a switch, you can connect the switch to the router with a straight-through, and then the computer to the switch with another straight-through.
