Can the original 802.11b Apple Airport Card connect to an 802.11g network?
Got an iBook G3 clamshell and that's the compatible airport card. I just want to know if it can connect to an 802.11g network before I buy one.
Most wireless routers you buy have the capability of running off both the 802.11B and 802.11G wireless speeds. So yes, it should be able to connect but you are only going to get the 11Mbps connection speed of B rather than the 54Mbps speed of G.
