The Vaio S series laptop with new extended sheet battery or EA series? Which is a better bang for your buck?
I'm wondering whether to get the EA series with up to i5 processor or the S series with up to i7 processor? Does i7 vs i5 make a huge difference? Also...is the extended life sheet battery worth paying $150 extra for?
Will be using the machine for developing enterprise software applications and also using graphics editing software, watching movies, etc...But I will not be using it for things like animation or gaming.
For YOUR applications it will NOT help to spend for a core i7. Not one bit.
As far as the better battery, if you use your battery alot, having more cells means it will last longer before charging lengthing not only the usefulnees while not on AC, but fewer recharge cycles means your battery will also last more years. However if you use your computer mostly on AC, the better battery is heavier and a little awkward.
I have ALOT of meetings to go to, MOST places have ac power, but I have a 9 cell battery and a 6 cell battery too. If I know I am going to be in trouble with ower, I bring them both fully charged. In MOST cases, I use my 9 cell. If I want to travel light, I use my 6 cell.
