How do I pug a router into a modem/router and use the new router?
Okay, so I just got AT&T DSL, and it came with a 2700HG-B Modem/Router. I have found that the built-in router is insufficient to provide connectivity to the many computers in my house, so how would I connect a much nicer Cradlepoint MBR-1000 router to the modem and only use that router?
The reasons I want to use the Cradlepoint:
1. It was $300 and I want to use it longer than a year.
2. The AT&T router cannot handle Utorrent without dropping my connection every 3-5 minutes.
3. The Cradlepoint has Wireless-N capability, a feature the new router lacks.

you have to plug ur computer directly to the router, go into the settings which is usually by typeing
192.168.1.1, enter your user id and pass which is usually (admin) and (password). then find a setting that would make it a relay or bridge or access point, depending on ur model. restart and you should be able to go.
sometimes the router included software to do a basic setup but this might be alittle bit more advanced and not in the software, so you have to directly access the router. if you have ever set up a password for your network, it should be around where you set that up
if all this fails call your service provider and they should help you.
