Efficient network design for 10/100 to gigabit upgrade?
I am upgrading from 100mb to a gigabit CORE design. I have around 100 nodes in the building. Each node has a VoIP phone which is fed the CAT5e line from the switch, and then from there it feeds the workstation. If I upgrade the CORE switches to a gigabit switch, the VoIP phone will limit the speed to the maximum it can handle (in this case 100mb). Stupid diagram below:

So my question would be, is there a way to NOT have to run two lines for each node (one workstation, one VoIP phone) on the network? I have never heard of any splitters or anything but that is the only solution I can come up with.

Do you really need gigabit to the desktop? If you do you have two main choices - get phones that support gig, or run two ports. Two ports doubles your port count.
Switches that will do gig for the user will be expensive - if you need PoE for phones even more so.
I presume you are using 10G for uplinks? What about server connections?
