Is there a difference between DVI dual link and HDMI except for the audio?
I am currently using an HDMI cable between my graphics card and my monitor, would there be any benefit in resolution if I used a DVI-D dual link cable instead?
Single-link DVI supports resolutions up to 1920x1200. (The video signal carried by HDMI is in fact single-link DVI.)
Dual-link DVI supports resolutions up to 2560x1600.
Unless your monitor's native resolution is higher than 1920x1200, there is no point in using a dual-link DVI cable.
