i plugged in a belkin54g adapter in my usb port and a message popped up saying high speed device plugged into a low speed port what gives? i also have a n additional card and the same thing, the computer is 800mhz the device manager shows under usb controllers a pci class usb 2.0 enhanced host controller below that usb 2.0 hub device do i have any thing to add or worry about?
If your PC has a 800mHz processor, it sounds like it is a few years old (?).
All that will happen is the speed of data transfer will be slower. Your PC probably has USB 1.1 profile, so anything with USB 2.0 will just work a bit slower. I wouldn't worry about it. Your PC works with it fine (e.g it tells you it will run at a different speed).
